The current environment that we are all having to endure is impacting on our lives hugely. Adjusting to being around family and emotional partners more than we are used to, having children around us more and so on, can be seriously stressful. All of this can impact on our mental health and physical wellbeing, perhaps even more than we realise. This can lead to anxiety, stress and let’s not leave out feelings of frustration!
Many people are finding themselves reverting to bad eating habits through this testing time. Consuming huge amounts of comfort food that are high in sugar and the wrong fats. You may find yourself becoming easily addicted to these foods, even though they often leave you feeling lethargic, uncomfortable and uninspired to keep moving forward with life.

If you were a fan of Downton Abbey, then you will recognise Dan Stevens who played Mathew Crawley. Blithe Spirit would have been released in May of 2020, but due to the pandemic it was rescheduled to Boxing Day, and then again to 15th Jan 21. Where it will now have a simultaneous release in cinemas, on Sky Cinema and NOW TV.
The film is a new depiction of a classic Noel Coward comedy. If fact, it has been put on the screen before, but the cast alone make this a worthy outing. Isla Fisher (our cover star), Leslie Mann and Dame Judi Dench to name a few.
Dan Stevens plays Charles Condomine, he is somewhat of a playboy with a career as a crime novelist. However, he starts to struggle under a looming deadline, and a severe case of writers’ block. His second wife, Ruth, played by Isla Fisher has designs on heading to Hollywood, and as such she wants to keep him focussed and writing.
Charles’ search for inspiration continues, and in a desperate attempt to get the writing juices flowing, he invites a medium to his home to perform a séance. The medium is called Madame Arcati and is played by none other than Dame Judi Dench. In fact, Dench is no stranger to Noel Coward roles, but this is her first time playing the medium.

The ongoing pandemic has created a very uncertain time, leaving us not knowing what is going to happen from one week to the next, never mind three months, or a year from now. But, having a vision for our future can be very grounding, it is important now, more than ever that we do not lose sight of what we want for our lives. Equally these situations teach us that time is of the essence, and we should be taking steps towards our goals and securing happiness in our lives now and in the future.
You may very well use vision techniques at work, perhaps you have responsibility of realising projects to a conclusion. However, not everyone approaches their personal life and happiness with the same precision…

Qixi is otherwise known as The Double Seventh Festival, based around a romantic legend story. So named, for falling on the 7th day of the 7th month (Chinese Lunar), in 2020 that falls on Tuesday 25th August.
