When you read your horoscopes you will often see planetary references. For example, in July for Taurus. Planets: Mercury, Jupiter and Mars are all affected by the Lunar Eclipse, that falls in your education & religious sky.
You might be interested to know, just what the different planets govern and are associated with. Of course, the position of the planets within astrology at your time of birth, will have a lot to do with your personality traits, but they can also have an impact on day-to-day life!
The Sun
Career Aspirations, Motivation, Well-being, Prosperity, Law, Guidance, Buying/Selling and Children.
The sun is associated with masculine energy, and male pursuits.
Don’t be tempted down an arrogant and overassertive route, instead let the sun’s light lead the way.
Mercury
Education – teaching, writing, communicating and creativity. Travel, Perception and Cynicism.
Mercury’s vibe always needs to be balanced by another planet’s energy, to avoid it providing inconsistency.
Try not to be caught out by trickery and thievery!
Venus
Pleasure, Harmony, Romance, Arts, Beauty, Discretion and Possessiveness.
Venus is depicted as female in energy, although technically women are ruled by the Moon! Many of the traits are considered female in nature.
Venus’ force can be conflicting, lust for love, luxury over substance and so forth.
Mars
Loyal, Action, Decisive, Free, Resourceful, Selfish and Disharmonious.
Mars has a dark energy about it, it’s is a counterbalance to Venus. Mars does of course have the same symbol as man.
Mars has an almost aggressive masculine power to it, sometimes a gentler (Sun like approach is needed).
Jupiter
Higher Power, Truth, Faith, Knowledge, Honour, Justice and Responsibility.
Jupiter is named for a King of the Gods. Its strengths lie in the intellect. The planet is all powerful when law & order are needed.
There can be an unwarranted optimism with this planet, beware of self-indulging!
Saturn
Reliable, Disciplined, Patient, History, Change, Business and Creation.
Saturn is about making slow changes, learning from history and making a tangible difference over time.
Saturn’s overwhelming energy is one of protection. Don’t let obstacles and intolerance get in the way of progress.
Uranus
Inventive, Eccentric, Revolutionary, Surprising and Stimulating.
Uranus is different! It rolls rather than spins like all of the other planets. Its qualities invoke its quirkiness.
The power of Uranus is in harnessing the differences for good.
Neptune
Psychic Intuition, Magic, Visions and Healing.
At first glance Neptune is not as powerful as the other planets, its association with the sea, make its efforts seem ‘watered down’.
But Neptune influences us all in the soft arts, fantasy, ideas and dreams we all need.
