Twin Flames are documented by Aristophanes in Plato’s Symposium, stating that humans originally consisted of two people within one body – one head but with two faces, four arms and four legs and that they were very happy in this state. However it is thought that Zeus (King of the Gods) feared their happiness and confidence and so in an act of revenge he split each human in two, leaving them forever searching for the other half that would make them feel complete.
Twin Flames are not to be confused with Soul Mates who come into your life to help you grow and develop and may not always be romantically linked; twin flames are truly your other half and are notoriously elusive. In many cases your twin flame may be on soul plane while you are on earth, however leading authorities believe that when you finally reunite with your twin flame you will experience earthly incarnation.
Twin Flames have the same likes and dislikes and often have lived paralleled lives – similar experiences, visited and loved the same places, countries and so on.
Sadly some people will reject many relationships on the basis that they are not the one, and finding their Twin Flame is just too seductive. Partners will often be cast aside because they are just not alike enough.
